Shalane Flanagan, Olympic Bronze medalist and American Record Holder for 10000 meters, recalls her days of cross country at the University of North Carolina. Over her four years about xc Shalane finished 4th (frosh), 19th (soph) and 1st in both her junior and senior seasons. She talks about her experience, give her advice and looks at her disappointing race in 2001 where she was leading but had to stop and walk.
